Overview of the new Public Procurement regulation

Let’s be ready !

To this day, the following texts were adopted and published:

  • Law of June 17, 2016 on Public procurements (M.B., July 14, 2016)

  • Law of February 16, 2016, amending the law of June 17, 2013 on motivation, information and appeals regarding public procurements and certain public contracts for work, supply and services (M.B. March 17, 2017)

  • Royal Decree of April 18, 2017 on the public procurement procedure in classical sectors (M.B., May 9, 2017)

Whereas the following texts are currently being finalized :

  • Draft Royal Decree amending the general rules for the execution of public contracts. The Council of Ministers adopted this draft, in second lecture, on April 28, 2017. It could still undergo some minor modifications.

  • Draft Royal Decree on the public procurement procedure in utilities sectors. This draft has been submitted to the Council of Ministers.
